Flagship Program
Summer Adventure Camp
Ages 7 to 16. Our flagship summer camp runs Monday through Friday from June 15 to August 3, 2026. Each week is packed with water sports, outdoor games, and new friendships. No experience needed.

Overnight Camp
Boat Wakeboard & Surf Camp
Ages 10 and up. The ultimate week-long water sports experience. Wake up lakeside, spend your days riding behind a Master Craft boat and shredding the cable park, then wind down with campfire s'mores and a River Cats game. Limited spots available for 2026.

What parents need to know
Safety and fun go hand in hand at Velocity Island Park. Here is what you can expect when your child attends camp.
Experienced staff
Our camp counselors and instructors are trained in water safety, first aid, and CPR. They have hands-on experience running water sports programs and working with kids of all ages and ability levels.
Safety protocols
- Coast Guard-approved life jackets provided and required for all water activities
- Helmets required for wakeboarding and kneeboarding
- Swim test required for campers under 42 inches
- Trained lifeguards on duty during all water activities
- Sunscreen and hydration checks throughout the day

Staff-to-camper ratios
We maintain a maximum 1:8 staff-to-camper ratio for all water activities, in line with American Camp Association guidelines for waterfront programs. During cable wakeboarding and boat sessions, ratios are even tighter with dedicated instructors for small groups of 4 to 6 campers. A certified lifeguard is always on duty in addition to camp counselors.
Frequently asked questions
Not at all. Our cable system and instructors are designed to teach complete beginners. Most kids are standing up on the board by day two. Experienced riders will also be challenged with progression drills and obstacle features.
Camp registration is by the week (Monday to Friday). Individual day registrations are not available. This allows campers to build skills progressively and develop friendships throughout the week.
All campers wear Coast Guard-approved life jackets during water activities. Children under 42 inches must pass a swim test on the first day. If your child is not a confident swimmer, please let us know at registration so our staff can provide extra attention and support.
Cancellations made at least 14 days before your camp week begins are eligible for a 75% refund. Cancellations within 14 days of your camp start date are non-refundable. Contact us at info@velocityislandpark.com for cancellation requests.
