Rules and safety
Your safety is our top priority at Velocity Island Park. Our trained lifeguards, certified equipment, and clearly marked safety zones are in place so you can focus on having fun. Please review the following rules and policies before your visit.
Age and height requirements
Each activity at Velocity Island Park has specific age or height requirements. All participants under 18 must have a signed waiver from a parent or legal guardian.

Waivers
All participants in water activities must have a signed waiver on file before entering the water. There are two separate waivers depending on your activity. We strongly recommend completing your waiver online before you arrive. You can do it on-site, but completing it ahead of time means you speed up your check-in.
- Aqua Park, Swim Beach, and Paddle Boarding share one waiver
- Wakeboarding requires a separate waiver that includes a safety video
- Participants under 18 must have a parent or legal guardian sign the waiver
- Complete your waiver online before you arrive to speed up check-in
- Waivers are valid for the entire season once signed
What to bring
- Swimsuit (required for all water activities)
- Towel
- Sunscreen (reef-safe recommended)
- Water shoes (great for around the park, but not allowed on aqua park obstacles)
- Signed waiver (complete online before arrival)
Good to know: Life jackets, helmets, and wakeboards are all provided. You do not need to bring your own equipment.
What's NOT allowed
To ensure the safety and enjoyment of all guests, the following items and activities are not permitted at Velocity Island Park:
- Outside food or beverages (Costa Fuego restaurant is on-site)
- Alcohol brought from outside the park
- Ice chests or coolers
- Pets (service animals are welcome)
- Smoking or vaping anywhere on the property
- Glass containers of any kind
Facilities
The park provides the following guest amenities:
- Restrooms available throughout the park
- Changing rooms for before and after your session
- Outdoor showers to rinse off after water activities
Lockers: A limited number of lockers are available on a first-come, first-served basis. Bring your own lock. We also recommend leaving valuables locked in your car and out of sight.
Water information
Velocity Island Park is built on an artificial lake with an average depth of approximately 12 feet. The lake's water quality and ecosystem are actively managed to provide a clean and safe environment for all guests. Life jackets are provided and required for Aqua Park and paddle boarding activities.
Re-entry policy
Re-entry is not permitted once you leave the park. Please plan to stay for the duration of your visit. If you need to return to your vehicle, please speak with a staff member at the gate.
ADA accessibility
Velocity Island Park is ADA accessible throughout the property. ADA parking spaces are available near the entrance. If you have specific accessibility needs or questions about accommodations, please contact us before your visit and we will do our best to help.
