Cable Park and Wakeboard Jobs
This is the coolest gig at the park. You will be running Sesitec cable systems, teaching people to wakeboard for the first time, and maintaining boards and gear. If you are into water sports (or want to be), this is how you spend your summer.
Apply NowWhat You'll Do
Your days revolve around the cable park and the riders who come to use it.
Velocity Island runs two Sesitec cable systems: a full-size main cable for experienced riders and a training cable built specifically for beginners. Your day starts with a system check, making sure both cables are running smoothly and all the gear is in good shape.
Once the park opens, you are at the dock. You will be fitting guests with helmets and life jackets, sizing boards, explaining how the cable works, and coaching nervous first-timers through their first pull. There is nothing quite like watching someone get up on the water for the first time and seeing the grin on their face.
On the main cable, you will manage rider flow, monitor for safety, and keep the session running efficiently. Between sets, you will check equipment, clean up the dock area, and maybe sneak in a few laps yourself. Experienced riders on staff often get to ride before or after shifts. Wakeboarding experience is preferred for instructor roles, but cable operators and technicians can learn on the job.
